The APPG for International Students will hold its Inaugural General Meeting (IGM) on Wednesday 16 October 2024. This is the APPG’s first formal meeting of the current parliament following the General Election earlier this year and marks the reconstitution of the Group.
Following the IGM, the APPG will hold a panel discussion with the education sector on Counting International Students: Understanding the data debate behind international student numbers. Speakers will include representatives from the Department for Education (DfE), Home Office, Office for National Statistics (ONS), the British Council, and Jisc, who will discuss migration, export and graduate outcomes data for international students, along with emerging research on international alumni following the paths international students take when they leave study.
The IGM and panel discussion will take place in Room C, 1 Parliament Street.
